Common Questions
What is involved in being an active member of River Rock Cohousing? Read Living at River Rock (members only can read the Orientation Guide) to see what is expected of residents, how you can participate, and how to get the most out of cohousing.

What is Cohousing? An answer from the The Cohousing Network.

Where is River Rock Commons? We are located in the "Old Town" area of Fort Collins, Colorado on the edge of Lee Martinez Park. This MapQuest map is close.

When was River Rock Commons completed? Our final building was completed in May, 2000, but our common-house basement isn't yet finished and there are lots of other fun finishings ahead.

Can anyone move in? Yes, there are no extra restrictions because we are a cohousing community, although it's great when we find people who share our vision. If you're interested, please get in touch with our contact person, who often has better information than that listed on our For Sale, For Rent web page.

How did River Rock Commons happen? There are several models of cohousing development. We followed the developer-facilitated model through Wonderland Hills Development Co.. We are also indebted to our sister cohousing community here in Fort Collins, Greyrock Commons, who hosted our meetings for years while we planned, and kept our spirits high through tough times.
